We recognise that professional business owners have their own islands of expertise that may not extend into the world of IT.
Whytec was formed in 1988 as an independent IT consultancy to provide affordable business solutions to the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME). The founder and key consultant Trevor McCarthy-White has many years technical and business experience across a broad range of sectors.
Over the last 20 years the company has evolved from originally helping local small businesses with office automation issues, contributing to the development of some early network communications products, being the sole provider of a bespoke INTRASTAT data migration and reporting tool, and many other projects and services.
Whytec’s client list grew to include larger organisations including the MoD, Local Government and blue chips including GEC Marconi, Shell Gas, and Dorling Kindersley.
Some of these contracts tended to steer Whytec business development away from the company’s ethos to serve SME’s. In 2001 these original objectives were re-affirmed and Whytec returned to the SME market with an accent on system infrastructure, consultancy, security, and support.
Rather than rely on, or pay for, expensive in-house IT services, Whytec now offers an affordable and comprehensive alternative, either on a retained contract or per project basis.
Although small, Whytec has a comprehensive set of capabilities extended by professional associations with other Milton Keynes based IT consultants. The company provides a pro-active client focused approach to managing and developing IT systems allowing SME owners to concentrate on running their business. We take the hassle out of running business IT.
Today Whytec continues to provide professional IT advice and support to many small businesses in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. Business growth is chiefly by referral from an increasing number of satisfied customers who have grown to trust and depend on our services – we hope you’ll join them.
Whytec – your IT in safe hands.
